Abstract VT

Fridays at 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Hosted by Abbey B.K.

Abstract VT is a Burlington, Vermont–based podcast celebrating the stories, ideas, and projects of local creatives with a musical twist.

Hosted by Abbey B.K., each episode explores “abstract ideas discussed amidst ever-changing tunes.” Guests are invited to share a creative project or passion alongside personally meaningful songs that serve as jumping-off points for conversation. Through thoughtful questions and a relaxed, conversational style, Abbey uncovers what inspires each guest, what drives their work, and how they navigate the creative process.

Anyone who identifies as a creative is welcome on the show. Past guests have included Vermont-based musicians, visual artists, woodworkers, designers, authors, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit leaders.

Alongside guest interviews, Abstract VT also features solo episodes where Abbey explores Vermont’s creative community, reflects on the creative process, shares inspiration for artists and makers, and discusses topics like storytelling, public relations, marketing, and audience-building through the lens of creative entrepreneurship.

About the Host

Abbey Berger-Knorr, known on air and on stage as “Abbey B.K.,” is the founder and host of Abstract VT. Since moving to Vermont for college in 2020, she’s been an active presence in Vermont’s music and arts scene. Her connection to the local creative community began with volunteering at Big Heavy World for five years, where she supported The Radiator, the music nonprofit’s radio station, and hosted its live music show and podcast, Rocket Shop Radio Hour. Inspired by the many creatives she met through hosting Rocket Shop and through her own creative endeavors, Abbey started Abstract VT in 2023. By day, Abbey is a public relations and marketing professional; by night, a singer-songwriter. Her dual experience gives her a unique perspective as host of Abstract VT, allowing her to connect authentically with guests as a fellow creative while also putting her communications and marketing expertise into action. Through Abstract VT, Abbey strives to uplift the voices of creatives and give back to Vermont's vibrant creative community that has welcomed, inspired, and supported her throughout her own journey. Feel free to connect with Abbey by visiting abstractvt.com or emailing abstractvermont@gmail.com.
