Celebrate Community Media Day with WBTV-LP!

Community Media Day is an annual event that celebrates and brings awareness to the importance of free speech and accessible media for the millions of community mediamakers and citizen journalists who tell their unique stories every year. Community Media Day is officially October 20, and often aligns with Free Speech Week.

WBTV-LP transmits a chorus of community voices every day. We are incredibly grateful for the diverse experiences and stories our programmers bring to the booth. Please consider becoming a member of our station, spread the word about shows you love, and lend your support to the Media Factory.

Who’s Awesome? Programmer Volunteer Daniel!

In addition to co-hosting Top Five Live (Mondays, 6:00-8:00pm) on 99.3 FM, Daniel volunteers several hours each and every week to help program our WBTV-LP schedule. Our community radio station relies on member volunteers to flourish. Daniel’s investment of time and energy is a huge asset to us that we deeply appreciate.

Thank you, Daniel!

A Tribute to Pete Seeger from Clearwater Friends

On June 23rd, Rik Palieri & Jason Baker hosted “A Tribute to Pete Seeger from Clearwater Friends” for a special episode of Folk Talk with Rik Palieri and it was simply amazing. Along with the absolutely beautiful music, it was impressive to witness this wonderful group of eight musicians playing a full, live show in our little booth!

Thank You, Art Hop Volunteers!

Another Art Hop over, more awesomeness to come! Shout out to our WBTV-LP volunteers Tisha, Will, Phillip (with bonus Shelagh!), and Richard, for recording IDs, talking with visitors, and generally being amazing ambassadors for our station. Very special thanks to Melo for doing North Star Radio Cultural Bunker-style!
