Just in time for the dark times, WBTV-LP is here to teach you how to make cool audio and radio projects. Come on down to the brand-new Media Factory education space at VCAM/RETN, 208 Flynn Ave. Burlington, VT and plug-in to our workshops:

• Tuesday, December 8, 5:30 p.m. – Podcasting for Beginners with Audrey.
  • Podcasts are in their golden era, enjoying rising popularity with all sorts of audiences. This is your chance to learn the basics of how to build a podcast, get it online, and become the next Serial! Open to the public and sliding scale of $25 requested. We will teach on Garageband on computers provided at the Media Factory. Space is LIMITED, so sign up ASAP through our secure site!
  • Tuesday, December 15, 5:30 p.m. – Make a Kick-Ass PSA with Audrey & DJ Llu
    • PSAs are still the most powerful way for you to tell the story of your cause, issue, or non-profit. Make it easy for local radio to play it by giving them a PSA that you make. This workshops will teach you the hands-on skills of writing, recording, and editing a PSA and the one-on-one support to make it really stand out. Plus, we will teach you where else your PSA can be heard beyond regular radio. This is a GREAT workshop for local non-profits to come back an end of the year PSA to encourage donors to give!   • Radio Mingles – Monday, December 14 & 28th (2nd & 4th Mondays of every month!), 5:30 p.m. hosted by Ari & Tiff
    • Are you a radio-maker? Feeling a little lonely talking to yourself in that radio booth? Are you a podcaster? Feeling a little tired of starring blankly at your editing screen? Are you a radio/podcast listener and want to meet some local radio-makers? This is your chance to swing by and network. These are all totally free, open to the public, and we will have snacks!
